Cliff Pickover has begun posting a list called The Six Thousand: 6000 intriguing people you want to meet online before you die. This list is off to an interesting start - it includes transhumanist Natasha Vita-More, astrophysicist Fiorella Terenzi, Xeni Jardin of Boing Boing, the artist Stelarc, and USA National Memory Champion Tatiana Cooley.

Why stop at 6000? I would like to meet EVERYONE. Surely everyone has a story to tell, everyone deserves a handshake and everyone can be seen as intriguing from a certain vantage point.
Of course, until we have a society where a 100% of people display 0% traits of psychopathy im not actually going to attempt this right now.
Posted by: Jam1r0 at December 21, 2005 04:30 PMThank you for including me. I a delighted. I'd like to suggest that you use "transhumanist" rather than "extropian." My reason is that I authored the Transhuanist Manifesto and I don't call myself an extropian, although I think that the transhumanist philosophy of Extropy is the original and smartest aspect of transhumanism. Also, would you please place a hypen in my last name. "Vita-More"
Again, thank you and I will place a link to your site.
Best wishes,
Natasha
