Bucky Fuller: 42 Hours of Audio/Video!!

Wow, thanks again to Eye of Gaia, I just stumbled on this:

42 hours of recorindgs, both audio and vido, as well as all of it having been painstakingly transcribed and made available on the web. What a blessing!

What really sucks about these recordings however is they appear to have been DRM'd on Real Media (.rm). I'm uncertain why they would go through so much trouble to get it out on the net for free, then keep it from replicating freely without DRM. What gives?

If anyone knows how to rip Real Media to some non-DRM format, please comment below.

er, right so it's like this:
mplayer -dumpstream stream -dumpfile ofile
you just have to be sure to compile mplayer with the real media codecs so that it can read it at all

Very cool! Thanks for the link to the Fuller stuff....I wish they'd make them .wav files, or even mp3s--so you could d/l and copy them to CDs. There's a Terence McKenna page with the same kind of thing (lectures & appearances)--but it's all Real Player files--and I don't know how to save them as .wav files.

Sly --

Do you mean there's a McKenna page with vids? If so, I'd appreciate a link! All I know of are audio files.

All the files on this page ^^^ are mp3s. Lots of great stuff. Enjoy.

And while we on the subject, has anyone checked out "The Evolutionary Mind," a recent release of trialogues between McKenna, Abraham, and Sheldrake? Is this the same release as before with a different title, or a new collection of trialogues? (New, as in, not before transcribed and published.)

Upwinger: No, I wish--they're just audio lectures in Real Media format--there do seem to be a couple of vids, though--Here's the page I was talking about:

http://deoxy.org/mckenna.htm

..and the vid link (from the above page) is:

Thanks for the McKenna mp3s link! :-)

You can re-format realplayer stuff to just about any vid format using WinAVI - www.winavi.com

Cheers.
